  3. Conan, quite so, but the lines in Blow's 1696 Ode on the Death of Purcell are perhaps more poignant.

  4. Jeanne, what on earth could you mean? Listen to Purcell's The Queen's Dolour (A Farewell) and I challenge you to demonstrate that it was not, as Conan aptly describes it, heavily influenced by Blow.
