Mirror, Mirror Hootsmon

Forgive me. After a wee discussion in the pub my inner nerd took over and forced me to write this. In an alternate universe some things will never change...

  1. Look - he's so evil he even nicked Spock's beard!

  2. It *is* Spock's beard. Well spotted, fellow nerd.

  3. I assume in this alternate Scotland Iain Gray and Jim Murphy wrap themselves in the Saltire and declare themselves Scottish Patriots.

Tavish Scott and his sidekick Willie Rennie call for no referendum in order to save Scotland and Ruth Davidson calls for Salmond to stop being invited on to Scottish Sports programmes where he promotes his unionist poison.

If that's what's happening in the mirror universe there does appear to be some leakage with our reality breaking through. (You can hum the theme to the Twilight Zone a this point.)

  4. Another parallel World then,

Wae Shatner as a Nazi and Spock wae his ears hidden in a Gerry helmet.

In black and white, just like the Beatles.

  5. Doug in this Scotland Eastenders is the Twilight Zone. Or is it in that one?

Jeanne, I've been called worse. Usually on the Telegraph :¬)

    1. Hi Conan, Ben Shiantaidh here. This may be old news to you but I worked out tonight that the Telegraph posters:
Orraquine, CommentUK, and Westheadbanger are all Telegraph trolls 'stimulating' comment to boost the advertising revenue account (I guess)...CommentUK confessed.

  7. I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
Whatever I see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful-
The eye of the little god, four cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.

  10. I don't get it, but I like it. I thought I was a nerd. Guess I am not.

  12. I got the references right away. Not sure I should be proud of that.

Well done though. I wonder how you make an evil version of a good person who normally has a beard? Do they shave off parts of it so they have a baldie bit on their face in the shape of a goatee?
