Hootsmon Headlines

Riots in the streets of London, British servicemen fighting in two different countries and what is the headline for three days on the Scotsman?
A man who donated money to the SNP gets knighted...
Comic indeed.

  1. If there were even the slightest thing to the whole folderol, I could sympathize with them. But amongst their non-stories this hits a new height of non-storydom.

  2. Love the new format Conan! The only consolation with the Hootsmon's behaviour is that hardly anyone reads it. I wonder if there's a Hudsucker Proxy type of game afoot there...

  3. And how many people did Dewar, McLeish and MaConnell arrange to be knighted? Tom Hunter and Duncan Bannatyne spring to mind! Oops both gave money to the Labour party.

  5. Sorry for appearing as Anon again, but nothing seems to work...frustrating.

Aye Jean, to think it was once a good paper...

Loon, Tris, there is something to be said for a format where you don't even have to write paragraphs:¬)

Munguin, definitely a beam and mote situation.

  11. Not really Conan.
I am so depressed at my treatment at the hands of the idiot mods of the Hootsmon my willingness to do anything web based is flagging!

  12. I see you think that the hootsmon forums might be crawling with JP types.
I think that is a fact, and after speaking to the mods by phone and email I am even more convinced that they are at the wind-up.

  15. Come on, Conan, get blogging instead of taking the mickey, often without them realising it, out of the demented ones on the Scotsman forum!

  16. PS: Your live traffic feed indicates that I'm from Stornoway when I'm actually around 50 miles from there in the land of golden beaches. It's sense of direction is like that of Grahamski who was canvassing miles from the correct area during a bye-election.
