Bye Ziggy.

  1. Good thing we weren't Pop stars eh?

They seem to be taking a battering.

    1. They get the media coverage when they die.

      Unlike us.

It's still a bit of *our* youth gone...

  2. Funnily enough, although Bowie was older than me, I never thought of him as a contemporary. He was there but just not on my radar. Liked some of his music but always assumed his personas were some marketing man's cunning plan. Turns out I was wrong and he really was using them as vessel to a creative musicland.

He appears to have been a genuinely nice person too, despite that Scotland please stay with us, bit rediffused by some hireling at some luvvies prize giving. Maybe he was speaking with his heart?

Anyway I return to my original post above and say, that they are "all" dead now, fuck 'em
Spike Milligan (paraphrased) from Adolf Hitler, My Part in His Downfall.

An acquaintance here in France died on Saturday, There will be no Mass, and no ceremony at the cremation. Don't like that end of the spectrum either. Those who are living need an excuse to have a wee self righteous swally now and again, if only to work out who will be next. I never expected to see in the `millenium.

    Keeps safe, S

    1. I got my hair cut a la Ziggy Stardust as a teen... but I grew out of it. ;¬)
